Cute Boots! Please leave them at the door
Winter is here and it shows no signs of leaving any time soon…with that comes messy, snowy roads and sidewalks which are not suede boot friendly!
We strive to keep our salon relaxing and clean for our guests therefore we ask that you please take off your winter boots when you come in. As you know road salt can wreak havoc on floors and furniture, so your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
We have clean and sanitized sandals at the front for your comfort.
Everything You Need to Know About Balayage
So…what is Balayage?
Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It gives a sun kissed natural looking hair colour with softer, less noticeable root regrowth. The idea is to give the hair a soft, natural look.
How is it applied?
Balayage is applied on the surface of the hair and not saturated through the entire head until the tips.
How is it different from highlights?
Most people use Balayage to go from dark to light without bleaching their entire head of hair. While it looks more low key - the process itself is quite intensive and time consuming. The experts at RUSH Hair Studio are Balayage pros and will be able to choose a colour to suit your skin tone, so it’ll look amazing and really light up your features.
As mentioned, this lightening process can take several hours so please be prepared in terms of time and budget. The upside of this treatment is that there is much less maintenance, so while it’s more expensive initially, you will save quite a bit of money in the long run.
With highlights, it is recommended that you touch up every 4-6 weeks. However, with Balayage, since it looks so natural, you can go as long as you like (2-3 months) or just let it grow out.
Ready to make a change?
We recommend you speak with one of our stylist before coming in for an appointment. The consultation process can happen over the phone or in person and it will give your stylist an idea of what you’re looking for as well as how much it will cost you.
